Bio:

Danica was first exposed to the world of racing at the age of 10 when her sister, Brooke, was interested in the sport. Danica was hooked and took up go-karting. In order to advance her racing career, Danica moved to England at the age of 16, where she won numerous World Karting Association Championships and raced in the Formula Ford and Formula Vauxhall festivals.

Danica returned to the United States in 2002 and signed with Rahal-Letterman Racing. In 2005, she was the official driver for Team Rahal in the IRL IndyCar Series. As a result, she became the fourth female driver to compete in the Indianapolis 500. She led the race for a few laps, making her the first female driver to ever lead the Indy 500. Danica holds the record for the best ever finish at the Indy 500 by a female driver. Since 2005, she has competed in the Indianapolis 500 every year. In 2008, Danica placed first in the Indy Japan 300, making her the first female to ever win an IndyCar Race. She was recently included in TIME magazine's TIME100 list of the world's most influential people.

Danica currently lives in Phoenix with her husband, Paul Hospenthal, and their dog.
