Bio:

Chris began his rise to the NBA on the courts of West Forsyth High School where as a senior, he led the Titans to the state Class 4-A Eastern Regional Final and a record of 27-3 in 2003.. He averaged 30.8 points, 8.0 assists, 6.0 steals and 5.0 rebounds his final year en route to being named to the 2003 McDonald's High School All-American Team. He went on to lead Wake Forest University to 48 wins in two seasons before leaving for the NBA in 2005.

Chris was selected as the fourth overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets. During his first season in the NBA when the Hornets were displaced to Oklahoma City due to Hurricane Katrina, Paul earned NBA Rookie of the Year honors after receiving all but one of 125 first-place votes in the season which he averaged 16.1 points and 7.8 assists. Paul is a two-time All-Star, the NBA MVP runner-up in 2008 and was on the U.S. Olympic basketball team that went unbeaten during the Beijing Olympics and won the gold medal.

Chris has been involved with numerous charities in his time with the NBA. After the devastation in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, Chris and his teammates helped bring back their community in a variety of ways. He is a member of an organization, NBA Cares (a branch of the NBA), which helps NBA teams give back to their local communities. He was involved in the organization, Hoops for Homes, which builds homes for those who lost theirs in Hurricane Katrina. Chris also established an AAU basketball program in Winston-Salem called the "CP3 All-Stars." He also hosts the annual Chris Paul's Winston-Salem Weekend which raises money for several local charities in both Winston-Salem and New Orleans.

Chris currently plays for the New Orleans Hornets NBA team.
