Bio:

Demi knew she wanted to be a professional singer after singing "My Heart Will Go On" in a kindergarten talent show. At age 17, Demi is now an actress, singer, songwriter, guitarist and piano player.

Demi's big break came in 2008, when she played the role of Mitchie Torres, a 14-year-old girl with hopes of becoming a singer in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. Demi recorded three songs for the Camp Rock soundtrack and released her first album, Don't Forget, which yielded three gold singles, in 2008.

Becoming a favorite of Disney's, Demi has most recently starred in the Disney Channel Original Series, "Sonny With a Chance" and "Princess Protection Program." This summer was a whirlwind for Demi. She released her No. 1 selling second studio album, Here We Go Again, had her first headline tour, and took part in Disney's Friends for Change, a pro-social "green" initiative.

Demi landed the role of Charlotte Adams on the Disney Channel Original Short Series, "As the Bell Rings" in 2007. A few of her original songs, including "Shadow," were featured on the show and Disney quickly recognized the star potential in Demi. She got her early start on "Barney and Friends" at the young age of nine.

Demi has won three Teen Choice Awards and has been nominated for a Young Artist Award. She currently splits her time between Los Angeles and Dallas and is starring in her own Disney Channel series, "Sonny With a Chance," playing the role of Molly.
